Welcome to the new and improved website of National Telecommunications Institute for Policy Research, Innovation and Training (NTIPRIT).
NTIPRIT is the apex level Capacity Building Institute of the Ministry of Communications, Government of India. We are one of the Central Training Institutes (CTI) recognised by Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT).
Our institute plays a crucial role in the telecom ecosystem of India in capacity building of the technical Officers of the Department of Telecommunications. NTIPRIT is committed to be an International Centre of Excellence to strengthen the Digital Communications eco-system in the country, for the benefit of all stakeholders, including the public at large.
The ecosystem of ICT sector is rapidly evolving and is redefining all important walks of life, including Governance. The pace of technological advancements may lead to gaps in the knowledge too. Therefore, keeping track of latest developments in the sector becomes absolutely important. NTIPRIT is mandated to bridge this gap by conducting different capacity building initiatives/ seminar/ workshop etc.
We impart training to Government Officers, and other stakeholders, including International participants, in various areas related to Digital Communications technologies, Policy, Regulation etc. We regularly conduct international trainings under Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Programme of Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and under Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) fellowship schemes.
In FY 2019-20, 652 officers from different branches of Government and 82 foreign participants belonging to 38 countries have been imparted training by NTIPRIT. The indicative list of subjects of training include Network and Information Security, 5G, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence, Use of ICT in Disaster Management, Security, Data Protection and various Policy and Regulatory issues involved. In FY 2020-21, due to the global pandemic, all the trainings were conducted in online mode and more than 20 webinars were conducted on latest topics. In FY 2021-22, online Certification Courses have been conducted on ‘5G technology’, ‘Network and Information Security’, and ‘RF Tools and Testers’.
Besides conducting training programmes, we are mandated to provide policy inputs to the Government on the issues related to Telecom sector and promote Research & Development in collaboration with educational institutions. We seek to develop collaboration with relevant stakeholder institutions for cross-industry cooperation and information sharing so as to evolve into a national platform for knowledge creation and dissemination.
