| Learning Objectives | Buildings have major environmental impacts over their entire life cycle. Resources such as ground cover, forests, water, and energy are depleted to give way to buildings. As per UNEP, a 30% improvement in global average building energy intensity is necessary by 2030 in order to meet ambition set forth in the Paris Agreement to limit global average temperature rise to 2°C or below. Various Green Building rating systems are in practice now a days to measure greenness of the building and their deployment results in improving the overall Energy Efficiency of the building. This webinar deliberates on green building concept, green building rating systems for energy efficiency, role of building automation for energy efficiency and methods for energy performance assessment in buildings. |
