| Learning Objectives | The Indian Telegraph (Amendment) Rules, 2017, provides that every telecom equipment must undergo mandatory testing and certification prior to sale, import or use in India. The main objectives of Conformity Assessment of Telecom Equipment (MTCTE) framework include ensuring that any telecom equipment does not degrade the performance of existing network; ensuring safety of the end–users and that RF emissions from equipment are within safe limits, and that telecom equipment complies with the relevant national and international regulatory standards & regulations. |
